Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate detection of a permeability, by measuring the suction speed of the raw material and by operating the permeability from differential pressure between pressure in the box and atmospheric pressure. CONSTITUTION:Wind box 16, anemometer 17, measuring cylinder 18, permeablity indicator 20, differential pressure generator 21, and so on are provided, and atmospheric air is sucked by wind box 16 provided for measurement of the permeability, and permeability P is obtained from suction air speed v and pressure loss DELTAp for passage of the suction wind through the raw material. That is, v is measured by the ultrasonic anemometer, and value Q obtained by multiplying v by sectional area S of the measuring cylinder becomes an airflow rate per a unit time. Difference between pressure in box 16 and atmospheric pressure is measured with the differential pressure generator to obtain DELTAp, and permeability P shown by expression I is calculated by the operator. By this method, stable detection of the permeability can be performed because the detecting unit is not brought into contact with the raw material.
