Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the problems by the production of noise even when an object to be measured is installed in a high voltage line by detecting mechanical displacement by the utilization of light. CONSTITUTION:Direct current light is outputted from the terminal A of a measuring device body 5, and is irradiated to a pickup 2 through an optical fiber cable 3. The pickup 2 is made of a semitransparent flat plate of which the transmittance changes gradually with its positions and which moves vertically together with an object 1 to be measured. The light past the pickup 2 is inputted through an optical cable 4 to a terminal B, by which it is converted to an electric signal. This signal is inputted to an oscilloscope 6. Even in such a case as with a breaker of the object to be measured installed in a high voltage line, it is prevented from receiving the influence of noise in the high voltage line.
