Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of film defects such as orange peel and pinholes without exerting unfavorable influence on the electrophotgraphic characteristics by adding methylphenylsilicone oil to a coating composition when a charge transferring layer is formed. CONSTITUTION:A dispersion of a charge carrier generating substance such as Se or azo pigment and a binder resin is applied to a 75mum thick polyester film having vapor-deposited Al with a coater and dried to form a charge carrier generating layer. On the layer a charge transferring layer is formed by applying and drying a soln. prepared by dissolving a charge carrier transferring substance such as poly-N- vinylcarbazole, a hydrazone deriv. or a fluorenone deriv., a binder resin and methylphenylsilicone oil in a solvent. The amount of the methylphenylsilicone oil added is preferably 0.001-0.5wt% to the total amount of solid matter.
