Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a glaze from flowing into snap lines by a method wherein the part of the glaze crossing the snap lines is narrowed in width when printing the glaze over the area crossing the snap lines. CONSTITUTION:When printing the glaze G over the area crossing the snap lines 2, recesses 8A, 8B crossing the snap lines 2 are provided so that the amount of the glaze flowing into the snap lines 2 will be small if such flowing-in of the glaze occurs. Accordingly, when a glaze layer 3 formed by baking the printed glaze is subjected to cracking, the layer 3 can be cracked without causing any trouble, and the peripheral edges of a substrate for the thermal printing head remain in a rounded condition so that a heat-sensitive paper cannot be damaged at the time of thermal printing.
