Abstract

PURPOSE:To prepare a heat-sensitive transfer recording sheet which has a better yield, by a method wherein an occupying area of each of ink layers in different colors formed on a main surface of a base sheet and in the set, which the 3 color layers make, is caused to proportion its use frequency. CONSTITUTION:Ink layers 101, 102, and 103 in 3 primary colors of a red, a blue, and a yellow color and widths d1, d2, and d3 in a subscanning direction are set to lengths proportioning their respective use frequencies. Or, for example, the ink layer 101 in a red color has the width d1 corresponding to use frequency of 30-40%, and the ink layers 102 and 103 in a blue color and a yellow color have the width d2 corresponding to a use frequency of 20-50%. Like this, the widths d1-d2 in the subscanning direction of the ink layers 101-103, respectively, are set to lengths corresponding to the use frequencies, and this suppresses an unused part of the ink layers 102 and 103 in a blue color and a yellow color whose use frequencies are lower compared with the ink layer 101 in a red color having a high use frequency.
