PURPOSE:To obtain the serial thermal printing head whose abrasion resistance against sliding printing paper is improved, by forming glazed parts on a substrate, forming resistor parts thereon, and forming electrode parts on the substrate. CONSTITUTION:The glazed parts 130 are independently formed on the substrate 120 by using a screen mask 360. Then the resistor parts 140 are formed on each glazed part 130. The lead electrode parts 150 are formed on the adjacent parts of the glazed parts 130 on the substrate 120. Then each glazed part 130 is heat treated, and the intended head 180, wherein bent parts are formed at both ends of the longitudinal direction of each glazed part 130, is obtained. It is desirable that the glazed parts 130 face to each other on the substrate, and a groove 510 is formed between both glazed parts.
