Abstract

PURPOSE:To seal the open end without damaging the shape of a hollow plate largely by a method wherein the open end of the synthetic hollow plate is put on a channel type heating plate and the open end is heated and melted to mold a sealed wall by the heating plate. CONSTITUTION:When many partitions 33 are arranged between two plates 31, 32 at a given interval and the open ends 35 of a synthetic resin hollow plate 3 forming many hollow parts 34 in the inner part are sealed, the open ends 35 are put on the upper surface of the channel-type heating plate 1, heated and melted and the molten resin is reserved on a horizontal bottom part 1a to provide sealed walls 36 of a nearly equal thickness. The heating plate 1 is of a channel type and has a horizontal bottom part 1a and standing parts 1b, 1c which stand obliquely upward on both sides of the horizontal bottom part. The bottom part 1a has a width nearly equal to the open ends 35 of the hollow plate 3.
