Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize low cost and divided writing and dvided reading for a picture memory, by constituting the picture memory with low-speed semiconductor memories. CONSTITUTION:A picture memory, which stores the PCM video signals obtained by digitizing the TV video signal, the radar signal and the like, is constituted with plural low-speed semiconductor memories. The PCM video signals are written after a series- parallel conversion through series-parallel converters 1, 6, 11 and 16, latch circuits 2, 7, 12 and 17, switch circuits 3, 8, 13 and 18, etc. Then the read data given from the picture memory is delivered in the form of a PCM video signal by output latch circuits 5, 10, 15 and 20, etc. As a result, the position of picture element within a block comprising plural picture elements is controlled, and at the same time the writing and reading is controlled with every block of the picture memory. In such way, a large-capacity picture memory is constituted with comparatively low-cost and low-speed semiconductor memories.
