Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the induction motor having small vibration noise and excellent characteristics even if a power source is non-sinusoidal wave shape by a method wherein the conductive housing of a rotor is constructed by combining magnetic materials and nonmagnetic materials, and magnetic permeability in the diametral direction becomes higher than that in the peripheral direction. CONSTITUTION:A conductive housing 8 provided at the external peripheral surface of the rotor 2 in an induction motor is made by combining magnetic conductive materials and nonmagnetic conductive materials so that magnetic permeability component in the diametrical direction becomes higher than that in the peripheral direction. For example, many fine line-shaped magnetic conductors 11 are arranged in the diametrical direction and nonmagnetic conductive materials 12 are filled among the magnetic conductors 11 to form a conductive housing 8. In this way, composition becomes equivalent to the case of arranging the most effective skewed conductor on a rotor surface and a variation in magnetism at gaps become small, accordingly, vibration and noise can be reduced.
