Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable a magnetism generator and a revolving body to be made small by a method wherein the revolving body is formed of a magnetic substance and a nonmagnetic conductor, and the magnetism generator is disposed near the nonmagnetic conductor side of the revolving body. CONSTITUTION:The first housing 15 is rotatably supported on the left of a shaft 13 through a bearing 16 and fitted and fixed with the revolving body 23 to which the first disc 20 to be the magnetic substance formed by an iron plate and the second disc 21 to be the nonmagnetic conductor formed by a copper plate are integratedly fixed. On the right of the shaft 13 is insert-fixed the second housing 27, and the four magnetism generators 32 are provided to a yoke 29 which is fitted and fixed to the second housing 27. By varying exciting currents in windings of the magnetism generators, a damping torque generated in the revolving body 23 is regulated. With such a construction, a magnetic circuit and can effectively formed by the magnetism generator and the revolving body.
