Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the setting of the dimension an electro-optical system, by placing a metal spacer of copal or ferro-nickel alloy at a portion of a casing for determining the electro-optical dimension of an electrode relating the focusing of an incident image. CONSTITUTION:A casing comprised of an input window 2 and an electrode 6, another casing comprised of an output window 5 and an electrode 9 and one more casing where the electrodes 7, 8 are welded to both sides of an insulator ring 10 are made indepedndently. Then it is assembled while placing a metal spacer 12 of copal or ferro-nickel alloy having the depth of 0.01-0.5mm. between the electrodes 6 and 7, and 8 and 9 and the vacuum-tight encapsulation is performed through the arc welding. When selecting the depth of the metal spacer properly, it can be set to the predetermined electro-optical dimensions FPS, FPC. Consequently the setting of the electro-optical dimension is facilitated.
