Abstract

PURPOSE:To make easy the program search (retrieval) of desired files and readout, by splitting a processed data of 1 file into a plurality of blocks in a cassette memory and writing in through the insertion of a control byte at the head of each block. CONSTITUTION:In storing one file of processed data from a numerical controller 11 to a cassette memory 12, the processed data from a line L11 is stored in a buffer memory 14, and a counter 17 counts the processed data by (l-1)-byte and an overflow pulse OVF1, then a counter 18 counts this pulse OVF1 and instructs the number of blocks of 1 file. A control byte generating circuit 19 generates the control data of one byte inserted at the head of each block of stored processing data in the memory 14, and the synthesis is made by a synthesis circuit 24. The information respectively distinguishing each block, head, middle, and final in one file is written in the control byte.
