Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a sewage treatment device high prevents the clogging of filter beds and the infiltration of sludge into a settling chamber by so constituting the same that at a normal time circulation flow is produced in the aeration chamber of an aeration decomposition tank to decompose the org. components in sewage and the sludge is returned to a separating chamber.
CONSTITUTION: After the solid and liquid components in sewage introduced 3 into a separating tank 1 are settled and separated, the sewage is supplied through a transfer pipe 9 into the aeration chamber 5 of an aeration separating chamber 2. The sewage entering the inside of the chamber 5 is flowed down in the filter beds 8 installed with filter media so as to have clearances above and below, so that the org. componenets in the sewage are oxidation-decomposed by the aerobic microorganisms stuck and propagated in the filter beds 8. The sewage treated in the chamber 5 is transferred from the clearance 12 between the bottom end of a partition wall 4 and the tank wall into a settling chamber 6, the supernatant whereof is released 23 via a disinfecting tank 21. On the other hand, the sludge-contg. sewage from the chamber 5 is returned from the pipe 9 into the tank 1. Therefore, it is preferable to provide a pair of the pipe 9, and perform supply of the sewage and the return of the sludge simultaneously between the tank 1 and the chamber 5.
