Abstract
PURPOSE: To perform oxidation decomposition treatment of org. components effectively by providing an inside tank within an outside tank, using the spacing between the outside tank and the inside tank as an aerating chamber, and the inside of the inside tank as a settling chamber and forming a filter bed in the lower part of said chamber.
CONSTITUTION: An inside tank 2 is provided in an outside tank 1, and the spacing between the tank 1 and the tank 2 is used as an aerating chamber A, and the inside of the tank 2 as a settling chamber B. A filter medium bed 4 is formed in the lower part of the chamber B, and an air diffusion pipe 6 is provided near the bottom 5 of the tank 1. A diffused air receiving plate 9 is provided above this pipe 6 and below the lower opening part 21 of the tank 2. The diffusion air from the pipe 6 is once stopped by the plate 9 and is diffused from the circumferential edge of the plate 9 and therefore the direct entry of the diffused air into the chamber B and the occurrence of disturbance in the sewage in the chamber B and prevented. The air is diffused into the chamber A from the entire circumferentical edge of the plate 9, whereby the oxidation decomposition treatment of org. components is accomplished effectively.
