Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily and accurately align the axial center of a cable and the axial center of long columnar additive masses by grasping the required parts of the cable by means of a pair of the supporting columns formed on the inside surfaces of die casting dies, then filling the space parts around the supporting columns thereby forming the masses by die casting. CONSTITUTION:The prescribed position of a cable 1 is inserted and fitted in the guide groove 11 of a molding die 9B, and the cable 1 is extended and seated in contact with the end faces of supporting columns 10. Next, a molding die 9A is mounted to grasp the cable 1 with the columns 10, and molten zinc is forcibly fed into space parts 3', 4' from an injection nozzle, thereby molding and solidifying the additive masses provided with a prescribed shape and mass to the required parts of the cable 1. It is preferable to adapt the support columns 10 by suitably selecting the number of sets, and their grasping pressure and grasping face pressure in consideration for intrinsic conditions such as the shape of the additive masses, the flexiblity of the cable and the injection pressure for die casting.
