Abstract

PURPOSE:To position a vibrationproof weight at the center of an inner cable and perform casting by diametrally opposing a pair of positioning members to an upper die and a lower die. CONSTITUTION:A pair of positioning members 8, 9 are inserted and fixed, so as to diametrally oppose to each other, into the small diameter recesses 7a', 7b' of the casting recesses 7a, 7b of one sets of molds 6 consisting of an upper mold 6a and a lower mold 6b, and an inner cable 2 is positioned at the center of the small-diameter part 5a formed by the small-diameter recesses 7a', 7b' by the leading ends 8a, 8b thereof. The inner cable 2 is pressed in the positions of 11, 12 and molten metal is forced through the runner 10 provided to the lower mold 6b, whereby a vibrationproof weight 5 is formed. Thus, the inner cable 2 is prevented from slackening by the positioning members 8, 9 despite the high temp. of the molten metal, and is correctly positioned at the center of the vibrationproof weight 5 even in the extremely slender part like the small-diameter part 5a, without exposing to the outside.
