Abstract
PURPOSE:To control the running of a tape by finely adjusting a tape running speed so as to keep one round running time of the endless tape a constant value. CONSTITUTION:A signal which corresponds to the turning period of a capstan motor 17 driving a tape 15 is extracted through a sensor 18 and a pulse amplifier 19 and supplied as a reset signal to the 1st counter 13, and the frequency of a pulse signal from a reference oscillator 11 and a frequency dividing circuit 12 is divided by the counter 14. Those signals are supplied to sample holding circuits 20 and 21 to exercise control over the turning of a motor driving circuit 24. A signal showing the round frequency of the endless tape 15 is extracted through a mark sensor 25 and a pulse amplifier 26 and an oscillation signal from an oscillator 31 is supplied as a counting signal to the 1st and 2nd counters 28 and 29; when the round frequency signal is generated at the interval of reference time T0, the period of reference pulses coincides with that of the round frequency signal. The difference between the reference pulses and round frequency signal is stored in latch circuits 36 and 37 and the frequency division ratio of counters 13 and 14 are set, and set the turning run speed of the tape 15 variable.
