Abstract
PURPOSE:To maintain constant accuracy over a broad speed region by dividing an an encoder signal at an arbitrary frequency division ratio, and measuring the period of said divided signal. CONSTITUTION:The speed of rotary machine 17 is sensed by a speed pulse sensor 15. The speed is computed, and the feedback of the rotary machine is controlled by the difference between the computed result and a preset value. In this system, speed pulses are divided by a frequency dividing part 9, the period is measured by a period measuring part 7, and the speed is computed in a speed computing part 8. The frequency dividing ratio can be arbitrarily set by a frequency dividing part 10. Therefore, even though the speed is varied over the broad region and the signal period is varied accordingly, the frequency dividing ratio can be set appropriately so that the constant accuracy can be maintained.
