Abstract

PURPOSE: To extend compressor cumulative driving time between defrostings in such a way that an electronic timer circuit is provided for counting clock pulses to make horary controls, and variation is provided for clock pulse frequency or counts corresponding to the external temperature.
CONSTITUTION: External temperature is detected by a temperature detecting means 12, by charging time of a capacitor to fluctuate corresponding to its level variations, clock pulse frequency which is retained from a pulse generating circuit 11 to an electronic timer circuit is set variable. Thus, continuous or gradual changes of clock pulse cycles can change the drive cumulative time of a compressor 3 corresponding to the external temperature. In consequence, this facilitates to respond to the external temperature for the cumulative driving time due to clock pulses supplied from the pulse generating circuit 11 to the electronic timer circuit in the control circuit 5 at the time of driving and to prevent wasteful power consumption.
