Abstract

PURPOSE:To monitor by real time whether a control system is normal or not, by providing a model of a control system, and operating and displaying an output signal relating to its model. CONSTITUTION:A pressure control system 11 has a time lag. Therefore, as for a model 20 of the pressure control system 11, that of a time lag of first order, or that which displays other action of the control system 11 is selected. A set value input signal (d) is inputted to the model 20, and as to an output signal (i) of the model 20, which has been obtained, a difference between said signal and an input signal to be controlled (e) is taken. A fault of the pressure control system 11 is decided by comparing said difference signal (f) with a decision standard (g). When the model 20 taking a time lag into consideration is adopted, even when a pressure control signal (a) is varied stepwise, it can follow transient phenomena which occur in that case, therefore, a decision of a fault by mistake is never outputted. Moreover, monitoring is executed by displaying an output of the model 20.
