Abstract

In this case, if the working of an arithmetic control part becomes faulty, a signal generating part 30 inhibits the data fetching function of an output register 21 based on the output signal of an operation monitor part 16. At the same time, the final control data held in the register 21 is gradually varied toward the specific value by which the safety of process is assured. In case when the manual control mode is stored in the register 21, the part 30 inhibits the fetching of data for the register 21 as long as the arithmetic control part is faulty and at the same time carries out the control to increase or decrease the final control data held in the register 21 based on the output of a manual operation part 20.
