Abstract

PURPOSE:To prepare foil decoration moldings free from cracks and wrinkles and having a nice pattern by a method wherein a transfer film is pressed on the surface of a metallic mold to transfer the pattern and then molten resin is charged in the metallic mold. CONSTITUTION:A pattern layer 2 of an ink composition containing resin akin to the resin to be molded as a binder is provided on an elastomer 1 such as polyurethane resin etc. to obtain a tranfer film 3. Next, the side of the pattern layer 2 of this film 3 is placed opposite to the surface in a metallic mold 6. After the surface in the metallic mold 6 and the film 3 are pressed by an elastic body 7 from the side of the film 1, the elastic body is removed, the film 1 is separated to transfer the pattern layer 2 to the surface in the metallic mold 6. Then, molten resin is charged by an injection molding machine in the metallic mold 6, cooled, cured and removed from the mold to obtain a foil decoration molded object.
