Abstract
PURPOSE:To ensure thorough cleansing of a plating solution, by previously drilling a hole at the bottom part of a container, storing an element into the container and applying the plating to the electrode of the element to perform an adjustment of frequency. CONSTITUTION:An element 1 containing electrodes 13 and 13' on both surfaces of a piezoelectric substrate is stored in a container 14 having a window 14' drilled at the bottom part and adhered to external lead-out electrodes 15 and 15' with a conductive adhesive 17 to secure an electronic connection to the counter electrodes 13 and 13'. Plating is applied to these electrodes 13 and 13', and the resonance frequency of an element 12 is controlled by the mass effect of the plating. After this, both an opening part and the window 14' of the container 14 are sealed up with sealing plates 18 and 19, respectively. In such constitution, boty the plating and its subsequent cleansing can be thoroughly carried out since the plating is applied to the electrodes 13 and 13' through both the opening and the window 14' at the upper part of the container 14. As a result, the aging fault caused by the residue of plating solution can be prevented.
