Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture breakage resistant and chemically stable liquid junction accurately with high productivity by unifying synthetic resin as a support forming material and porous ceramic press formed and sintered as a liquid junction material. CONSTITUTION:Preliminarily formed cylindrical porous ceramic (liquid junction constituting material) 8 is inserted in a circular hole 7 prepared on the bottom cover 5 of the molding die, and a cylinder 6 is filled with corrosion resisting plastic powder 9, for example, polytetrafluoroethylene, etc. Then a piston 10 is inserted and the material is pressed and formed, and a product 11 is taken out, and then heated at about the melting point of the plastic powder 9(370-390 deg.C) to sinter and obtain one body sintered product. Further, machining process may be added to obtain a liquid junction 8' of a desired shape, a supporting part 9', etc. Thus a part of the plastic 9 is melted and penetrates in a part of the ceramic 8 to be made into a firmly integrated body.
