Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable an excellent formation of a large-size container without causing any bubbles or brittleness in it, by arraging a rigid core-material between metal molds before a resin is injected into the space between the molds. CONSTITUTION:An electrolyte-resisting resin, for example, a thermoplastics such as polypropylene is injected between a metal mold 4 and 5 to make a container for a storage battery. In this process, a core material 1, whose shape fits the container, is placed between the metal molds beforehand, and the former resin is injected so that the core material 1 is covered with the resin. The core material 1 is prepared from a rigid material such as ABS, polycarbonate, FRP or a metal. Here, it is preferred that the core material 1 is held in the space between the molds by equipping the surfaces of the core material 1 with plug-shaped projections 3.
