Abstract

PURPOSE:To conduct fresh air into a vehicle or discharge contaminated air out of it, by installing a multiblade fan at the open part of the vehicle and driving the fan with a reversible electric motor. CONSTITUTION:When a multiblade fan 17 is turned in the direction of an arrow by the forward rotation of an electric motor 21, external air introduced through an open part 14 is conducted into a vehicle chamber 16 through a hole 15 as shown by streamlines. A constant quantity of fresh air is thus supplied into the vehicle chamber 16 regardless of the running and stoppage of a bus. When it is raining, rain water is blocked by a stop plate 19 and only the external air enters into an outer frame 13 through openings 20 between a fan guide 18 and the stop plate 19. Therefore, the rain water cannot enter into the vehicle chamber 16 through the hole 15. Since the rotary blades of the fan 17 are placed in face of almost all the open part 14 of the frame 13, effective ventilation is caused through the open part 14.
