Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance the rated voltage of and the reliability of an insulated coil by forming a sealing layer on the surface of a prepreg tape layer and on the surface of an insulating layer in the vicinity of the prepreg tape layer. CONSTITUTION:An insulating layer 3 is formed by winding in many turns an insulating tape on a conductor 7, and a low resistance semiconductor layer 8 is formed on the part to be inserted into the slot of a core 1 and on the small part of the slot end. A prepreg tape 9 containing as main ingredient silicon carbide is so wound intimately on the surface of the insulating layer 3 of the outer part from the superposed part out of th slot of the layer 8 as to be superposed on a half part in one turn. Ambient temperature curable sythetic resin is coated and cured on the sursuces of the tape 9, of the layer 3 in the vicinity of the tape 9 and of the layer 8 to form a sealing layer 10, synthetic resin is immersed in vacuum under pressure on the layer 3, is then filled in a draying furnace, thereby heating and curing the layer of the tape 9 and the layer 3.
