PURPOSE:To omit a discharging circuit, by discharging charges stored in a smoothing capacitor with a use of nonload loss of an inverter when an input breaker is opened. CONSTITUTION:When an input breaker open switch 22 is turned on, an input breaker 2 will be opened by means of operation of an input breaker on/off sequence 31. At the same time, an inverted state signal of an input breaker 2 will be transmitted from a NOT circuit 42 to an output switch on/off sequence 34 via an OR circuit 45, and an output switch will be open. A state signal of open and ''ON'' at an input breaker inversed with a NOT circuit 42 is transmitted to an inverter start/ stop sequence 32 via an OR circuit 43. This operation permits a gate signal to be sent out from a gate signal generator 33 to an inverter 5. The inverter 5 begins operating. Charges stored in a smoothing capacitor 4 are discharged through the inverter 5 as energy source equivalent to nonload loss of the inverter 5.
