Abstract
PURPOSE:To extent the life of a small-sized electronic apparatus, by using a voltage dropping circuit, which is provided with a switch group for switching the connection between a main capacitor and a subcapacitor group, to enhance the conversion efficiency of the voltage dropping circuit and obtain an optional output voltage. CONSTITUTION:A voltage dropping circuit 3 consists of a main capacitor 4, subcapacitors 4a and 4b, and switches 5a-5d and 6a-6d which make the connection relation between the capacitor 4 and subcapacitors 4a and 4b parallel or series. An electronic circuit 2 provided with a switching pulse synthesizing circuit 8 and a battery 1 are connected to the circuit 3, and the voltage of the battery is detected by a voltage detecting circuit 9, and the high or low level is outputted in accordance with the voltage of the battery 1. Switches 5a-5d and 6a-6d are controlled through a logical operation circuit by the output from the circuit 9 to separate capacitors 4a and 4b partially from the circuit; and when capacitors 4a and 4b are connected in series to the capacitor 4, they are connected in parallel and are set to the charging state; and when they are connected in parallel to the capacitor 4, a voltage is supplied to a load 2.
