Abstract

PURPOSE:To ensure ignition on the fuel and improve combustion speed in such a way of forming strong incipient flame nucleus by installing an ignition point on the ignition plug in front of a fuel injection stand, and by making ignition inside of the fuel mist. CONSTITUTION:When fuel is injected through a nozzle part 9, thr mist spreads conically, and it surrounds discharge gap 14. In consequence, at the same time as the fuel injection, or while it is injected, discharge spark is flown into the discharge gap 14, since ambience of the discharge gap 14 becomes to be surrounded by a dense atmosphere of the fuel mist, the fuel catches fire without fail. Moreover, since the ignited flame forms big and long flame nucleus extending over the whole space of the combustion chamber, it arrives at every nook and corner of the combustion chamber 2 and a cylinder in an instant through the fuel spread around the flame necleus.
