Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a radiator panel which prevents corrosion from end faces and has increased mechanical strength by placing two sheets of formed metallic sheets between a male die and a female die, and subjecting the end faces to welding of deep throat depth by laser welding. CONSTITUTION:A number of long groove parts 2, flange parts 6 formed with holes 5, reinforcing recesses 31, etc. are formed to a metallic sheet 1. Two sheets of such sheets are superposed and the parts 2 and the recesses 31 are secured by welding, whereby a panel 7 is formed. The circumferential edge 4 of this panel 7 is pressed and held between a male die 23 and a female die 24, and laser light is irradiated to the edge 4 of the panel 7 by running a laser oscillator 15. The focus of this laser light is adjusted to form the weld zone of deep penetration having throat depth larger than the thickness of the sheets 1. A set number of such panels 7 welded in the above-mentioned manner are superposed to constitute a radiator.
