Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform heat treatment of tubular bodies with small space and good performance without causing elliptical deformation owing to high temps. by providing an endless turning chain of a downward grade for placement of plural pieces of tubular bodies and a turning chain for intermittent transfer provided with spacially placed detainig parts in a furnace chamber. CONSTITUTION:An endless turning chain 18 is driven at all times in an arrow direction, and a door 5 is opened, then the tubular bodies P in a standby chamber B are delivered out into a furnace chamber A, thence a turning chain 21 for intermittent transfer is driven to support said tubular bodies P with the projections 22 thereof. The tubular bodies are transferred along the top surface of the chain 18 up to the 1st stop position, where the chain 21 once stops, and the door 5 is reclosed after the passage of the tubular bodies. The tubular bodies P rotate there in accordance with the turning of the chain 18, and are at the same time heated to prescribed temps. by burners 11a. They are prevented from elliptically deforming by the rotation. After a fixed time, the chain 21 is turned by 1 pitch of the projections 22, and the tubular bodies P stop in the next stop position where they are similarly heated, after which they go to a slow cooling chamber A2 where they are slowly cooled for a prescribed time while rotating. The tubular bodies having completed heat treatment are delivered out into a take-out chamber C from a furnace chamber outlet 3.
