Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform heat treatment of tubular bodies with small space and good efficiency without causing high-temp. elliptical deformation by providing chain conveyors for intermittent transfer and rotation of plural tubular bodies in the direction orthogonally intersecting with the axial centers of said bodies in a furnace chamber and forward and backward movable rollers on the top and bottom of transfer surfaces. CONSTITUTION:A chain conveyor 15 is driven at all times in an arrow direction, and the rollers 21 of respective tubular body detaining devices 20 are projected onto the transfer surfaces of the conveyor. An elevating door 5 is opened, and the tubular bodies P in a carry-in chamber 4 are carried into a furnace chamber inlet 2 by a lifter 26, thence the door 5 is immediately closed. These tubular bodies P roll of itself or are transferred by the conveyor 15 until they are stopped by the rollers 21 in the 1st detaining position, and in this state, they rotate in accordance with the turning of a chain 16. During this time, they are heated to prescribed temps. by burners 8a, and are prevented from elliptically deforming by the rotation. After a fixed time, the rollers 21 are retreated to under the transfer surface by the devices 20, and the tubular bodies P are detained in the next detaining position where they are heated in a similar manner, after which they go to a slow cooling chamber A2 where they are slowly cooled for a prscribed time while rotating. The tubular bodies having completed heat treatment are carried out from a furnace chamber outlet 3.
