Abstract

PURPOSE:To largely reduce the number of steps required for positioning a transducing element onto a flexible wall surface plate and the number of wiring steps required, by using a bimorph-type piezoelectric transducing element of a comb-shaped integral structure. CONSTITUTION:A base plate 8 forms a trap chamber 9 connected to an ink tank and a plurality of pressure chambers 10 communicated with the trap chamber 9, and the comb-shaped bimorph-tye piezoelectric transducing element 12 is adhered to the flexible wall surface plate 6 at the upper surface of the plate 8 to constitute an electromechanical transducer. The element 12 is composed by adhering strip- shaped piezoelectric transducing element 15 to the tooth parts of the piezoelectric transducing element 14 having the comb-shaped integral structure, the number of the tooth parts 13 corresponding on the back side of the transducing element 14 is connected with a ground wire 21, and when a driving signal 20 from a driving circuit 19 for the piezoelectric transducing element is impressed on one of electrodes 17 for the transducing elements 15, ink droplets are discharged from an orifice 1 which corresponds to the electrode 17 supplied with the signal 21.
