Abstract
PURPOSE: To detect the misfiring, poor ignition and the like easily and surely by a method wherein the system is composed so as to amplify the output of a flame sensor in order to be able to obtain an alternative current output voltage from a comparator only during the time when the existence of combustion is d4tected in the combustion equipment such as a hot water supplier or the like.
CONSTITUTION: Under the condition that a transistor 10 is forcibly turned ON and OFF by the output of an oscillator 8, when the combustion starts and the electromotive force is generated in a thermocouple 3, the peak voltage value at the point A is the voltage of amplified electromotive force of the thermocouple 3. Because a transistor 22 is turned ON and OFF by the output of an operational amplifier 5 through a current limiting resistor 16, an AC voltage is outputed from a comparator 23. When the misfiring occurs during the state of combustion as described above, the electric charge stored in a capacitor 14 is discharged and the voltage at the point A or the output of the operational amplifier 5 becomes zero in the midst of the discharge. Due to zero voltage at the point A, the transistor 22 turns OFF to stop the output from the comparator 23, resulting in closing a solenoid valve and in stopping the fuel supply.
