Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an ignition device whose construction is simple and which enables the simple and sure detection of consumption of a battery, by comparing a timer period with a spark generation period to detect the consumption of the battery by an electronic circuit and indicating the consumption on display elements such as LED.
CONSTITUTION: A stabilized power supply circuit 6 is energized through as oscillation and boosting circuit 3. A timer 7 is energized by the stabilized power supply circuit 6 to produce a timing signal. A detection circuit 8 is powered by the circuit 6 to detect the ignition time interval (spark generation period) on the basis of an ignition timing signal supplied from a boosting circuit 4. A discrimination circuit 9 is powered by the stabilized power supply circuit 6 to judge which of the signal output period of the timer 7 and the spark generation period detected by the detection circuit 9 is longer than the other. An indication circuit 10 shows that the former period has become shorter than the latter.
