Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect an abnormal combustion promptly by early detection of combustion by increasing a flame detection level with the elapse of time from the start of combustion and by saturating the detection level at normal combustion. CONSTITUTION:A flame current circuit consists of an A.C. power supply 1 for a combustion detection circuit, a resistor 2, a capacitor 3, a flame rod 4 and an earth 5, and the charging circuit changing a flame detection level is composed of a capacitor 11 and a resistor 9. A resistor 10 determines the flame detection level in saturation state. The presence of flame is detected by means of a comparative detector 14, and its output signal is fed into a transistor 17 to control an input relay 18. During the initial period, a potential at a point b which is determined by the resistors 9 and 42 corresponds to a flame detection level, and this increases with a time constant determined by the resistor 9 and a capaciror 11 as shown by A and saturates at a potential d which is determined by the resistors 9 and 10. The flame current B reaches a point c which is the flame detection level at a time t1 after ignition.
