Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the fabrication of a superconductive coil as well as to improve its performance by a method wherein a first fine groove in a pancake cooling surface is fitted during the superconductive wire fabrication process, and then a second fine groove is provided after the pancake coil is formed and spacers and adhered in position. CONSTITUTION:When fabricating a superconductive wire 1, the first fine groove 71 which has a V-shaped section is provided along the wire. The superconductive wire 1 which is fitted with the line direction fine groove 71 is wound with insertion of insulators 5 between turns to form a pancake coil 2. Afterwards, insulation spacers 4 are adhered in fixed locations of the pancake coil 2, and then the second fine grooves are radially provided on the pancake coil 2 so as to intersect the fine groove 71.
