Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve the high-speed discharge of accumulated charge and high- speed switching with low power consumption by differentially driving two transistors (TR) connected in series via a resistance, and by driving two diodes by outputs at both the ends of the resistance. CONSTITUTION:Transistors TR12 and TR15 connected in series via a resistance 17 are driven differentially and the emitter output of the TR12 and the collector output of the TR15 are supplied to diodes 19 and 21 as driving power. Namely, when a control input signal (a) is a 0, an inverter 13 turns on only the TR15 to discharge the diode 21 rapidly, and the diode 19 conducts through the resistance 17 and TR15. When the control input signal (a) is at 5V, only the TR12 turns on to serve as an emitter follower circuit. Namely, in a transition from the forward direction to the backward direction of the diode 19, a large current flows from the emitter follower circuit to discharge the accumulated charge rapidly. As a result, a terminal 18 is held at 4.8V, and the diode 21 conducts.
