Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain high circuit integration and high speed operation with a simple constitution by interposing two NMOSFETs between the output of a CMOS inverter and a ground level, giving an input signal to one gate and a switching signal to the other gate. CONSTITUTION:A series connection between NMOSTs 9, 10 is interposed between a ground level and a node 11 of a basic CMOS inverter circuit 20, an input signal SIN is given to a gate of the NMOST9 and a switching signal Ss is given to the gate of the NMOST 10 respectively. The NMOST 10 uses the signal Ss to switch the conduction path of the NMOST 9. When the signal Ss is at an L level, the entire circuit is equivalent to the basic CMOS inverter. When the signal Ss reaches an H level, the logic circuit is regarded as the CMOS inverter having a PMOST7 and two NMOSTs 8, 9 in parallel. Thus, the logical threshold voltage is switched between two different values by switching the signal Ss.
