Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable high-speed operation by connecting a transistor, applied with a constant voltage at its base, in series to the input transistor of a current switching type logic circuit. CONSTITUTION:To collectors of input transistors T1-Tn connected in parallel while their bases are used as input terminals, constant voltage transistor TV connected to a constant voltage source at its base is connected. At this time, fluctuations of VBE of constant voltage transistor TV are nearly equal to those of VBE when input transistors T1-Tn are turned off and on. Therefore, fluctuations of VBE of transistor TV and fluctuations of collector potential of transistors T1-Tn are approximately a half the output logical amplitude and the Miller effect is reduced, so that switching characteristics will be improved.
