PURPOSE:To reduce the current of the detection circuit down to such amount that the load is never driven by the resistance by connecting the load and the power source in series as well as the serial circuit of the resistance and the capacitor in parallel respectively to the serial circuit of the 3-terminal switching element and the diode. CONSTITUTION:The serial circuit of 3-terminal switching element 18 and constant voltage diode 19 is connected to the power source via load 27. Thus photoelectric switch DS features the double-wire system. At the same time, the serial circuit of resistance 20, constant voltage diode 24, resistance 25 and capacitor 21 is connected between the diodes of element 18 and diode 19. In addition, the connection between diode 24 and resistance 25 is connected to the cathode of element 18 via light emitting diode 26. Thus, when transistor 22 and then element 18 are turned off, the current given from the power source is reduced down to a slight amount by resistance 20. As a result, the load driving is prevented.
