Once detecting the reception level of an intermediate-frequency amplifying circuit 3 exceeding a prescribed value, a stop circuit 8 outputs a negative pulse (stop signal) showing a narrow-band reception state, and it is inverted by an inverting circuit 9 to apply the resulting signal to the control circuit 10. Further, the output of a signal meter driving circuit is led to a reception-level deciding circuit to be compared with reference potentials 16 and 17, and the deciding operation is enabled through the operation of a diode 15 only when the stop signal is present.
