Abstract
PURPOSE: To ensure the quick and accurate transmission for the analog information by transmitting the pulse train whose duration and frequency are vaired according to the level polarity of the analog quantity in the form of the modulation signal and detecting the average value of the pulse train duration at the reception side to obtain the original analog quantity.
CONSTITUTION: Analog voltage VIN to be transmittted is applied to one input terminal of adder/integrator 1, and the fixed voltage -VR or +VR is applied to the other input terminal through switch S1 or S2 which is opened and closed selectively. And the output of circuit 1 is supplied to the comparator, and the pulse train whose duration and frequency are varied according to the level polarity of the analog signal is transmitted via luminous element D in the form of the modulation signal. While at the reception side, the modulation signal is received through photo detector T, and input -VR and +VR of integrator 3 are switched complementarily via output V2 and the reverse output passed through inverter INV2. Then the average value is detected for the pulse duration through integral adder 4 and 5 to detect the original analog quantity. Thus, the quick and accurate transmission is ensured for the analog information
