Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify detection of knocking at the time of acceleration and decrease its successive occurrence in such a way that a circuit to set knocking discriminating level of an ignition timing control circuit by an acceleration detector and by output signals from the acceleration detector is provided on the ignition timing controller. CONSTITUTION:Accelerating phenomenon which has been detected by an acceleration detector 2 discriminates the fact that the engine enters into its accelerating condition in the acceleration detecting circuit 45, and it gives accelerating signals as output. These signals continue for a certain lapse of time T in the monostable circuit 461, which are converted into a voltage level V1 in the voltage level converter 462, subtracted from setting voltage V0 in the offset voltage setter 463, and given as output from a subtractor 464. On another hand, signals from a knocking detector 1 which has passed through a half-wave rectifying circuit 42 are integrated by an integrating circuit 431, amplified by an amplifier 432, and given as input to an adder 433. In the adder 433, addition is made for signals from the subtractor 464 and signals from the amplifier 432, and knocking pulses are given as output from a comparator 44. These pulses are passed through a U/D counter 48, arithmetically operated together with reference ignition signals in the delay angle arithmetic circuit 410, and sent as ignition signals to an igniter 5.
