Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve accuracy of measuring pressure of the engine in such a way that normally only intake air pressure is read in, while only barometric pressure is read in at the time of closing a throttle when reading in the intake air pressure, is not required, and both the air inlet pressure and barometric pressure are read in by one pressure sensor. CONSTITUTION:A throttle 1, a throttle sensor 2 to discriminate whether or not the throttle is fully opened, an absolute pressure sensor 3 with use of a semiconductor pressure sensor, etc., and a three-way convertible electromagnetic valve 4 are installed in the internal combustion engine E. The electromagnetic valve 4 makes selection of the path to communicate the intake manifold or barometric pressure to the absolute pressure sensor 3. An arithmetic circuit 10 gives signals to work the three-way switching electromagnetic valve 4 by signals as output from the throttle sensor 2, and the barometric pressure and air inlet pressure are read in to the arithmetic circuit 10 with use of the absolute pressure sensor 3. Thus, only one of the pressure sensor can read in both the barometric pressure and air inlet pressure.
