Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the exhaust system efficiency or operativeness of an internal combustion engine and to reduce the fuel cost by detecting the air fuel ratio for each cylinder according to the variation in the output signal from exhaust gas sensor, and thus controlling the fuel injection valve for each cylinder. CONSTITUTION:To control fuel injection valves 70-73 individually accoding to the variation in the output signal from exhaust gas sensor 1. The air fuel ratio correction sign 1 from the exhaust gas sensor 1 is converted to a new air fuel ratio correction signal in operation circuit 5 with signals from airflow meter 2 and revolution rate detector 3, and the signal is stored in memories 10-13. The times for opening and closing the fuel injection valves 70-73 are controlled individually by the injection valve drive circuits 100-103. Thus, the air fuel ratio for each cylinder is regulated individually. Therefore, exhaust system efficiency and operativeness can be improved and fuel consumption can be reduced.
