Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the reliability, by selecting an oscillator which outputs an average frequency of a cesium atomic oscillators of >=3 sets being in operation at all times, and providing >=2 systems of phase synchronism oscillators and existing and spare set switches. CONSTITUTION:Cesium atomic oscillators 1a-1d are in common connection to priority selection switches 23a, 23b via failure detection circuits 7a-7d. Frequency measuring monitors 22a, 22b measure the frequency deviation rate of three systems of signals and a signal in an average frequency is transmitted to existing and spare set switches 26a, 26b through the selection of switches 24a, 24b. The switches 26, 26b control a switch controlling section 25 with the signal of the monitors 22a, 22b. Synchronizing oscillators 28a, 28b are dependent on the switches 26a, 26b and an output is obtained via selector switches 31a, 31b. Thus, each section is duplicated and the reliability can be increased.
