Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain records with good gradation by a simplified apparatus by providing the apparatus with an A/D converter by which analog picture signal with gradation is converted into binary digital signal and a control means by which electric energy to plural heating resistors is controlled. CONSTITUTION:An analog picture signal with gradation is converted into a digital signal of 3-digits per one picture point by means of an A/D converter, stored in an output stage shift resistor row 7, and then supplied to a latch circuit 8. And, data for each digit transferred to the latch circuit 8 are supplied to a driving circuit 9 during the periods of times T1, T2, and T3 which are different with output gate pulses every digit. Thus, since the time of electrification to a heating resistor 10 for the recording of one picture point is determined by the total sum of combinations of T1, T2, and T3 according to the content of data, recording with good gradation can be performed.
