Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a substantially uniform change in the recording thickness among the individual gradations, byu a device wherein data of an image signal from an A/D converter is added by logical sum data and logical product dat among the digits of that image signal data as gradation recording data. CONSTITUTION:An analg image signal 1 is converted into a digital image signal through an A/D coverter 2 and then input to storage circuits 31, 32, 33. Outputs from the storage circuits are input to a moltiplexer 6 together with output data from an OR circuit 4 and an AND circuit 5. Data taken out from the multiplexer 6 is serially input to a shift register 7 and stored therein. The stored data is latched by a latch pulse LP to be output to a driving circuit 9 in parallel, so that power is selectively fed to a plurality of heat emitting resistance materials 11 disposed in alignment on a base of a thermal heat 10, in accordance with the output data.
